Check out my youtube channel– I post lots of videos about med school, studying, and things like that. Ultimately, I hope this channel is a resource for all pre-health students. I plan to have interviews with doctors, nurses, dentists, and other health professionals about their career paths and their tips for success.

I like what you said when it comes to being motivated, I found for myself that to be motivated towards something is a lot better than to be be motivated away from something. Going towards something we want rather than away from what we don’t. Probably has something to do with what we’re focusing on and creating in reality. Thanks for the post, it got me thinking 🙂

Hi Andrea! I am Erika and I am from Brazil. I attend a Community College and my major is Math and Science. I have to decide my next semester if I want to go to school for pre-med or engineering. I was wanted to be a dermatologist but since I’m from a different country, I thought it would be very hard for me to study pre-med in a different country. Therefore, I was thinking about studying engineering; however, that’s not what I’m passionate about. What are your thoughts on that? How hard do you think it would be for me?
Thank you.

Hi Andrea,
Awesome blog! Glad to know there are people like you in this world… still… who are willing to help. A quick question, what are your thoughts on coffee. I feel that’s theirs really no nutritional value to it, so why drink it? It does taste good however (to me). And I also heard that it kills nutrients. Thanks!

Hi Andrea! Love your blog and all of your advice, thanks for sharing! I am taking to MCAT and I am devoting my summer to studying for it! I’ve watched quite a bit of your videos on study tips and advice, and they really help! I have the Kaplan study books and while they are very helpful, I am still feeling unprepared and lost in my studying. After watching one of your vlogs, I realized I am doing a TON of passive studying and I really believe that active studying is way more beneficial! However, I really need to get an idea and some understanding of the material before I begin active studying, what do you recommend to overcome this part?
Thanks so much!!

I would make note sheets or pick a topic to master and just go over it on the white board over and over. Good luck!!
