After my trip to Vegas, life was a little hectic. I worked in the clinic for Nitika (she was still in Vegas) and took call on Monday. By Tuesday I was back in surgery and back to plastics as usual.
I also had a research project to finish up, which involved combing through lots of really old paper charts from the 1980’s which was fun. How did we live before EMR?
Once I got my research done, I spent the rest of the week trying to get some studying done.
Luckily, I made some of hummusapien’s butternut squash curry chili and froze it before my trip to Vegas, so I had lots of yummy soup to eat for the week.
As for workouts, it got a little chilly out and I didn’t feel like bundling up to run outside, so I did a few runs on the inside track at the gym.
I hate trying to keep track of laps while I run, so I used the “lap” function on my phone’s stopwatch.
I tried to go to a yoga class but when I arrived 5 minutes early the class was already full! Boo! I was in a yoga mood, so I did my own 45 minute class and actually felt like it was a great workout. Sometimes when I do yoga on my own I end up doing a few downward facing dogs and then I spend 15 minutes in savasana. It’s hard to resist!
Hope you are having a great week!
Do you run outside when it’s cold? Can you lead yourself through a yoga class or do you have to go to one to get anything out of it?
