Tomorrow, at 7:00 am, I will call the Mayo operator and ask for the primary ophthalmology call pager to be transferred onto my pager. I take call for the first time tomorrow! And so will begin a year of late nights, emergency surgeries, time in the ED eye room, phone calls from patients, and so much learning about eyeballs. I am both excited and scared.
So I’m off to enjoy my last day pager free!
If you didn’t catch it yesterday, here is my most recent Youtube video- all about why I chose ophthalmology!
