This week went by so quickly for me. I think it’s because I had Sunday off (which I normally don’t) so I had one less day to work until Friday rolled around.
This week was a pretty great one! I felt like I was better with knowing what was going on with all the patients on the team.
Sometimes there are several patients who are followed by other residents, so they are never actually “my” patients and therefore I never know exactly what is going on with them. Inevitably, the resident will have a day off or something and I will have to take care of the patient and I will have NO idea what has been happening while they’ve been in the hospital. It’s no fun. So I am trying harder to really pay attention during rounds and know what’s going on with everyone, not just my patients.
Also, it’s really cold in Minnesota. Like -20 degrees with windchill cold. Ice was covering the windows today:
I am so glad that you guys like these Friday favorite posts. I will try to mix them up with all kinds of different favorite things, but let me know if there are specific categories I should focus on! This week’s list seems to be all food related. Hope you like food!
Nutiva Coconut Snacks
I randomly picked this up at the checkout aisle at my local grocery store. I love Nutiva coconut butter, so I knew these would be good. They are just like little coconut macaroons and they are delicious. I want an entire bag of them so that I can bring them to have alongside my 2 pm coffee 🙂
Silk Cashew Milk
I had to try this new Silk milk because I am the biggest fan ever of the almond milk. I can’t believe the calorie/protein ratio on this creamy cashew milk! It doesn’t have a very strong flavor and I am loving it on top of my oatmeal in the morning or in smoothies!
Eat Smart Kale Salad (from Costco)
I’ve been buying this salad for years now and it never lets me down. One thing I love about it is that it stays good in the refrigerator for wayyyy longer than other salad mixes. The kale and brussels sprouts are so hardy, that they don’t get all slimy and wilted like baby lettuces or spinach. I love the crunch of this salad too! So yum!
I had some salad for lunch today with crockpot barbecue chicken and an orange. (and a cookie from the Mayo provided lunch).
This cashew brittle from our local grocery store.
Kyle and I pick up a tiny bag of this every time we go to the store and it lasts us for about 2 hours. It is seriously the best, most addicting candy I’ve ever had. I think it’s absolute perfection.
Maybe next week I’ll try to have some favorites that are more fitness or health related 😉
Tell me a highlight from your week!!
