Guess what? I’m getting married in 3 days! 3 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!
After almost 7 years with Kyle, I am definitely ready 🙂 But, it’s still so surreal to think that I will be married and have a new last name in just a few days.
If you’re new to the blog, I wrote a post about surviving a long distance relationship since Kyle and I lived 3-4 hours apart for basically our entire relationship. (He moved to Indianapolis last summer).
For the month of May, Kyle and I are living with my mom and step-dad since we don’t move to Minnesota until June. It’s kind of hilarious that I’m basically a doctor and he’s a total grown-up almost 30-year old and we’re living with our parents. You should see my bedroom. It is packed with so much stuff!!! We are sharing a closet, my bathroom, everything. It’s a huge mess!
But living at home does have it’s perks. My mom always has fresh coffee. The house is so clean and beautiful. And spending time with family is the best 🙂
Plus… my mom has a treadmill I get to use!! Kyle sold mine about a month ago and I’ve been in mourning ever since 🙁 But now I get to use my mom’s for the month!
Yesterday I did my latest treadmill routine. Here’s what I do:
- I run at a normal running pace (usually 6mph but sometimes a tiny but faster) until I am bored or tired and don’t want to run anymore. That normally takes 20-40 minutes. 20 minutes if I’m feeling tired, 40 minutes if I’m feeling awesome.
- Then I walk on an incline at 4mph for 10 minutes to give myself a break
- Then I sprint for 30 seconds at 8.5-9 mph and jump off and rest for 30 seconds. I repeat the sprints for 10-20 minutes depending on how I’m feeling.
- That entire routine takes 45-60 minutes and always feels pretty good!
Yesterday I ran for 20 minutes, walked for 10, and sprinted for 15.
Not too shabby!
I also wanted to try out another Turbofire video. I love the 45 minute one because it is intense and I always burn 400+ calories and finish in a great mood.
Yesterday I thought I would try the 55 minute “EZ” video. I think “EZ” means easy?
It was fun, but those 10 extra minutes didn’t add much to my calorie burn and it wasn’t as energizing as the 45 minute one.
I think I’ll stick to the 45 minute video as my go-to Turbo workout 🙂
Have you ever lived at home with your parents? How did it go?
