I am obsessed with IKEA. I think I could go there every weekend. Kyle and I went there to get a few inexpensive pieces of furniture for the bedroom and came out with 5 pieces of furniture and a huge list of 20 more things
we I want.
This weekend was a bit of a whirlwind. Kyle and I were in Indianapolis Thursday and Friday, went to Cincinnati on Saturday to visit IKEA and a sweet grocery store called Jungle Jims, drove to southern Indiana Saturday night, and I came back to Indy on Sunday. Phew!
Before we left for Cincinnati on Saturday, a plumber came out and installed our new toilet!!!!!!! I cannot tell you how happy I am to have a new, CLEAN toilet! Praise the gods of the bathroom!
By 10:30 we were on the road. First stop, Jungle Jim’s.
Jungle Jims is a massive international grocery store that is known for having every item you could ever imagine from any country. The natural foods section had every single thing any whole foods would ever stock- all in one place. It was a sight to be seen!
There was a hot sauce land, with every hot sauce you could dream of, from all over the world.
They had live fish in the seafood dept. I’ve never seen live tilapia! Here’s what they look like:
Crazy different kinds of meat:
The exotic fruits and vegetables were incredible. I bought 2 mangosteens because I LOVE them, ate them every day when I was in Vietnam, and you can’t find them anywhere in the US.
After Jungle Jims, it was time for IKEA- the greatest place on earth!!!
We shopped till we dropped and then had lunch.
Kyle’s lunch was really boring.
I had to try the Swedish meatballs- so I got some with my yummy salad! I was really impressed with the menu at IKEA! It’s mostly Swedish dishes, but there are some American options and great salads!
Sunday was the visitation for Kyle’s uncle who passed away last week. After spending time with his family, I drove back up to Indianapolis to get ready for my week.
I made these….
Recipe coming soon 🙂
What did you do this weekend?
Ever been to IKEA? Or Jungle Jims?
