Hi friends!! Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
My blogging will be limited this week as my ophthalmology exam is on Wednesday, and it’s going to be hard. Also, on Thursday I am packing my bags and off to the airport for the FitBloggin’ Conference in Portland!!
I am so stinkin excited for FitBloggin’, but I am trying not to think about it until my exam is over.
So I want you to think about it for me.
I am so honored to be speaking at this years convention; my topic is “How to motivate your community to choose healthy lifestyles”.
As someone spending LOTs of time in the healthcare field, I get to see a variety of patient populations- some healthy, and some unhealthy. Since starting my blog I have become even more passionate about reaching out to others about nutrition, fitness, and general wellness.
In the blogging community, we are all in general, super healthy and passionate about it!! I don’t think we need to motivate ourselves as much as we need to start reaching out into our community. Together, I think we can really make a difference.
I have learned lots of cool tricks to help motivate others to make subtle changes in their lives (stop drinking sugary soda, stop smoking) but I WANT TO HEAR YOUR IDEAS!!
Have you experienced anything that motivated your community to make healthy choices? Maybe a community walk/run, a local vegetable garden, education programs, etc.
Are you involved in any programs to help others learn about health and wellness? I’ve heard about programs like Girls on the Run…
How do YOU motivate others to make healthy changes??
I know lots of bloggers are dietitians, nutritionists, and personal trainers- I want to hear about your experiences!
Please comment on this post- I can’t wait to hear what you think!
In the mean time, here are some pictures from the weekend to entertain you.
Have a wonderful wonderful week! And leave me some tips or stories about motivating others!
