Yesterday was my first day on my new rotation- psychiatry! I think it will be a fascinating month. I started the day pretty early and luckily got home by about 3:30. Ate a snack of greek yogurt with blueberries and suddenly felt so tired and lazy!! It took until 5pm to convince myself to get up and do a workout from Tina’s Best Body Bootcamp! About 5 minutes into my workout, I felt so good- like a completely different person! It’s amazing what a workout can do for you.
Here I am before working out- trying to toughen myself up. And then post workout- happy!! Please note how one of my eyebrows raises higher than the other one. That makes my facial expressions look even cooler right?
I also got to work on the push-ups challenge! One of my August goals is to do 30 push-ups. I found this great calendar on Pinterest and it’s perfect! So I’ll be following it daily for the rest of the month. Follow along with me! (I blew it up on my phone and took a screen shot so don’t mind the phone heading. And don’t judge me for being up so early please 😉
The last things I wanted to share with you is that yesterday I had a dream eating day!! That’s a day where everything you eat is super healthy and yummy so at the end of the day you feel satisfied and proud for being so healthy!! I’m going to repeat all my meals today and better document them for an amazing WIAW tomorrow.
Just so I don’t leave you hanging, here were my meals:
1. Oatmeal with egg-whites, almond breeze coconut, 1/2 banana, and some shredded coconut on top
2. Mixed greens with grilled chicken, avocado, and sliced peaches on top
3. Greek yogurt with blueberries and 1TBS peanut butter
4. 1 egg white and 1 whole egg on top of sautéed mushrooms and onions with sliced tomatoes on top
5. 1/2 peach (the other half from my lunch) and 1/4 cup blueberries in a bowl with almond milk for dessert. YUM!!
I finished my night by doing my nails. I even gave into the ring finger painted a different color trend! I posted a pic on instagram and twitter so follow me there so we can share pictures and chat and be best friends!!
